In accordance with the Governor’s "Stay Home-Stay Healthy" Order, the following service modifications are in effect starting March 24, 2020:
- The public windows at our South Hill Precinct, Parkland-Spanaway Precinct, and Property Room will be closed. Domestic violence order kiosks at these locations will not be accessible; all persons seeking a protection order/modification/termination/renewal or a civil standby will need to call the Court Clerk’s office at 253-798-8827. All registered sex offenders needing to check in or update information, or who have question or concerns, will need to call the Sheriff’s Department at 253-798-2362; all transient sex offenders are required to call this number on their next scheduled check-in day.
- Patrol deputies will handle calls for service over the phone when possible; if not possible, residents will be asked to meet deputies outside their residence or place of business. The public is encouraged to use the Online Reporting system when appropriate for property crimes with no suspect information.
- Visitations at the Pierce County Jail are restricted and the public reception desk will be closed. Family and friends of inmates can continue to post money on inmates’ accounts online at www.touchpaydirect.com or by phone at 1-866-232-1899.
