The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) outlines Pierce County's future plans for transportation improvement projects and programs. The TIP is the primary budget workplan for building transportation improvement projects in Pierce County. This annually updated document is prepared pursuant to Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapters 36.54 and 36.81.

August 28, 2018: Pierce County Planning and Public Works presented the Draft 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Fourteen-Year Ferry Program to the Pierce County Planning Commission. The Planning Commission voted unanimously (6-0) to recommend approval of the TIP as presented.
September 12, 2018: Pierce County Planning and Public Works submitted the Draft TIP to the Pierce County Executive and County Council.
October, 2018: Public hearings will be scheduled to present and consider the Draft TIP before the Pierce County Economic and Infrastructure Development Committee (EIDC). Schedule(s) to be announced.
November, 2018: Anticipated adoption of the TIP by the County Council and approval by the Executive.
