The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) outlines Pierce County's future plans for transportation improvement projects and programs. The TIP is the plan for building transportation improvement projects in Pierce County for the next six years. This document is updated yearly per the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapters 36.54 and 36.81.
Adopted: 2020-2025 TIP and Fourteen-Year Ferry Program
August 25, 2020: A public hearing was held at 9:30 a.m. to present the 2021-2026 Draft TIP and Fourteen-Year Ferry Program. Due to COVID19 limits on gatherings, the Planning Commission hearing was held using video meeting software. The Planning Commission voted unanimously (5-0) to recommend approval of the Draft TIP and Ferry Program.
September 9, 2020: Submitted to the County Executive and the County Council.
October 2020: Economic and Infrastructure Committee (EIDC) public meetings anticipated.
November 2020: Full Council review and final approval anticipated.
