Transportation Concurrency

Transportation Concurrency is one of the requirements of the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA). The GMA directs certain counties to set and maintain Level of Service Standards for roadways. Concurrency requires that 'a financial commitment' must be 'in place to complete the improvements or strategies within six years' (of a Level of Service violation). Pierce County's Transportation Concurrency Management System Annual Report provides details on roadway level of service measurement and strategies to address concurrency issues.
