A community meeting was held January 25, 2018 at Peninsula High School's library. Neighbors of the project were invited to learn more about possible options for the project, provide input and find out the next steps in the process.
The goal of this project is to improve fish habitat and water quality for the lower part of the creek and Burley Lagoon. The existing culverts near the Park and Ride and under the Purdy Chevron gas station are considered partial barriers for fish passage.
Improves fish passage for coho, chum, steelhead and cutthroat trout to move upstream to spawn and rear.
Improves water quality and in-stream habitat.
