Engineering For Kids® brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through camps and classes. With over 135 locations worldwide, Engineering For Kids® is proud to have inspired thousands of children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Engineering is, after all, one of the fastest growing industries in the world! All supplies are provided, including laptops and engineering equipment for the following summer camps.

Junior Chemical Engineering: Crazy Concoctions!

LET’S GET CRAZY!!! The Junior Chemical Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts  of solids, liquids, and solutions. Students investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, and more.

Marin Engineer: Making Waves!

BARGES, SAILBOATS, POWER BOATS and more! Design, create, test, and refine several types of marine based devices and vehicles. Students construct working prototypes that teach and reinforce the concepts of above water transportation, underwater exploration, and harnessing the power of water. They gain exposure to careers in naval, ocean, and marine engineering as well as naval architecture.

Aerospace engineering: Up, Up and Away!

  • For: Ages 8-14

THE ENGINEERING OF FLIGHT! Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They will construct a shock absorbing system designed to protect two marshmallow astronauts in a lunar vehicle, create their own air-powered rockets, and explore neutral buoyancy blimps!

Aerospace Engineering: Rockets!

Learn the basics of rockets. Understand the properties of flight and how they can be modified to propel a rocket. Investigate the overall design components of a rocket, including the nose cone and fin, play a role in the rocket’s trajectory and distance traveled.

Mechanical Engineering: Catapults

  • For: Ages 8-14

Learn to make a MEDIEVAL MACHINE USING CANDY! The catapult activity will provide a basic knowledge of how and why catapults were first created. Students will build a simple catapult using a spoon to power their candy projectile. Students will also explore the mechanics of catapults in order to increase precision and accuracy.

PLATFORM GAME DESIGN!! Students will use Multimedia Fusion 2® to create their own video game.
