Summary:

Work generally consists of the construction of a timber crib wall, removal of an existing pedestrian bridge and abutments, installation of a prefabricated pedestrian bridge and abutments, and revegetation. The project work area is located on Swan Creek within Swan Creek County Park. Elements of the work will be subject to “in water work window” restrictions as given in the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Hydraulic Project Approval (HPA) permit. Work will include the restoration of the project site and access routes to pre-construction conditions.

The work proposed includes all the necessary *permits, fees, materials, equipment, labor, and related items to construct all improvements shown in the contract documents. Pierce County has obtained the required permits from the US Army Corps of Engineers, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Pierce County Critical Areas Review.
