November 16, 2020 Update: Due to the Governor’s roll back order and new health restrictions, the operational updates shown below will take effective Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Sprinker Recreation Center:

  • Facility is closed through Dec.14, 2020
  • All indoor activities are cancelled.
  • Outdoor areas remain open - Face coverings required unless able to maintain distance of at least six feet from others outside household:
    • Harold E. LeMay Skate Park: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
    • Sprinker Playground: 7:00 am-5:00 pm 
    • Bresemann Forest: 7:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Program - Take It Make It Experience supply kit pick up will be by appointment only. Participants should expect to be contacted by Pierce County Parks' staff.

Lakewood Community Center:

  • All indoor gym activities, including pickleball, are cancelled through Dec.14, 2020 
  • Building will be open for District Court operations only.

Environmental Services Building (ESB) park operations:

  • All room rentals for meetings (excluding civil service examinations) are cancelled through Dec.14, 2020 
  • Restrooms remain closed in the ESB
  • Program - Take It Make It Experience supply kit pick up will be by appointment only. Participants should expect to be contacted by Pierce County Parks' staff.

Meridian Habitat Park & Center:

  • All indoor fitness classes are cancelled through Dec. 31.
  • All buildings remain closed
  • Dog Park remains open. Face coverings required unless able to maintain distance of at least six feet from others outside household.

Specialized Recreation:

  • Programs will be shifted to virtual formats. Participants should expect to be contacted by Pierce County Parks' staff.

  • Holiday Market at Frontier Park
  • Crafters Creation at Sprinker Recreation Center & Lakewood Community Center
  • ICE Lights at Sprinker Recreation Center
  • Fantasy Lights Walk at Spanaway Park

Other Closed Facilities:

  • Dawson Playfield - closed for construction through Feb. 2021.
  • Heritage Recreation Center
  • All buildings at Frontier Park are closed
  • Picnic shelters remain closed

Use of a face covering is required (ages 5+) inside all Pierce County Parks’ buildings and facilities. In accordance with the Governor’s orders, face coverings must also be worn in outdoor locations whenever a 6-foot distance cannot be maintained from those who do not live in the same household.
