What’s Happening
Engineering: We are beginning the engineering for the project. We will be completing the field survey of the existing curb ramps and sidewalks throughout the project limits. 


Surveying: County surveyors will be in the area gathering field data of the project area.

About the Project
Planned improvements for the 2021 ADA Improvement Program (CRP 5922) are intended to improve accessibility and sidewalk connectivity at various locations throughout the County, and will include the following:


  • Removing and reconstructing existing curb ramps and sidewalks within the project area that do not meet ADA requirements.
  • Adding new curb ramps and sidewalks within the project area where none exist.

These locations include:


  • Group 1 - Ainsworth Avenue South at 110th Street South
  • Group 2 - 168th Street East (Gem Heights Drive East to 171st Street Court East)
Project Timeline

May 2020 to July 2020Complete field surveys. 


July 2020 to December 2020: Complete engineering and environmental documentation.


January 2021 to March 2021: Complete construction plans, specifications, estimates.


Summer 2021: Construct improvements.
