What’s Happening
Engineering: We are beginning the engineering for the project. We will be completing the field survey of the existing curb ramps and sidewalks throughout the project limits.

Surveying: County surveyors will be in the area gathering field data of the project area.

About the Project
Planned improvements for the 2022 ADA Improvement Program (CRP 5923) are intended to improve accessibility and sidewalk connectivity on 159th Street East/160th Street East, from B Street East to 7th Avenue Court East, and will include the following:

  • Removing and reconstructing existing curb ramps and sidewalks within the project area that do not meet ADA requirements.
  • Adding new curb ramps within the project area where needed.
Project Timeline

May 2020 to July 2020Complete field surveys. 

July 2020 to December 2021: Complete engineering and environmental documentation.

January 2022 to March 2022: Complete construction plans, specifications, and estimates.

Summer 2022: Construct improvements.
