Let Pierce County bring the science and wonder of the natural world right into your home! Our insightful and knowledgeable environmental educators have developed and modified plans so that we can offer high quality, interactive nature exploration programming just for YOU, right at home. Through hands on, interactive lessons, kids can continue to do what they do best: remain curious and explore the wonders of the natural world.


Campers in both age level virtual camps can expect:

  • To explore a variety of environmental topics
  • Be led by enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced instructors,
  • Project-based learning activities that are engaging, informative and fun
  • A combination of virtual class meeting time (over Zoom) with online and hands-on activities
  • Individualized attention and small camp and class sizes 
  • Independent camper work time 
  • Live instruction times that correspond appropriately to different grade levels
  • A supply kit for all activities planned for the camp
  • A unique opportunity for parents to get a glimpse into and also take part in their child’s summer camp experiences

Advanced Eco-Adventure Virtual Camp - CANCELLED

Jr Eco-Adventure Virtual Camp - CANCELLED

July 14-16, 2020

10:00 am - 1:00 pm


For:Youths entering 3rd-5th grades in the fall

Location:Online* - Log into virtual Camp each day from a personal device.

*The camp will be hosted through Zoom. Participants do not need the Zoom app - Zoom will send out an invite to campers. Using a computer or laptop is recommended for this program. Virtual camp can be viewed on a tablet or phone, but the quality and visibility will be more difficult for the participant.


Camp Supply List

Below are the core supplies each participant needs to have on hand each day at home, provided by parents:


  • Plastic tubs, jugs or ½ gallon cartons (all rinsed and “clean”) 
  • Cereal box
  • Scissors 
  • Markers/crayons
  • Pencils and erasers

  • Toilet tube or paper towel tubes

  • Aluminum foil

  • Glue and/or tape

  • Designated “Camp Space” in the home

  • Parental supervision for some camp activity transitions

  • Lunch

Camp Supply Kit

Each participant will receive a camp supply kit prior to the program with additional supplies, tools, a journal, and individual packets for each activity. Each packet will be opened together at the time that specific activity takes place during camp. Supply kits can be picked up at the Meridian Habitat Center, Lakewood Community Center, or Sprinker Recreation Center.
