The
Anderson and Ketron Islands Community Plan was initially adopted by Pierce County on March 17, 2009. Community Plans are a part of the
Comprehensive Plan and provide a more detailed sense of how the community wants the area to develop in the future.
Anderson Island is characterized by a variety of rural land
uses on large lots, with a small portion of the island divided into
small residential lots. The Island has a number of community-oriented
facilities including public parks, community center, museum, and other
civic and public facilities.
Ketron Island is primarily forested and undeveloped, with a few homes toward the north end of the island.
