Changes to notification requirements for site-specific proposals coming Sept. 1
Starting next week, land use applications that require on-site posting will no longer have hand written signs.
The Pierce County Council recently passed Ordinance 2019-34s which updates the requirements for signs posted on sites with land use applications. Changes take effect Sept. 1. These changes will make the signs more informative for the public and will save time for both the applicant and Pierce County.
The content and description on the sign will be based on the application submittal information. The new signs will be digitally printed and will include a map or site plan depicting the proposal. Finished signs will be delivered by mail or available to pick up at the Development Center.
