    A. The purpose of the Risk Subcommittee is to coordinate strategic assessment, analysis, and long-term planning. The three goals are: i. Developing and implementing regional processes for conducting capability and risk assessments and remedial action or improvement planning for the following; 1. Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR); 2. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and hazard mitigation planning; and 3. Remedial action management / improvement planning. ii. Recommending courses of action to reduce risk and increase capabilities. iii. Completing analysis to assist in setting priorities and selecting projects to pursue.
